Average review score:

The Rice Bible
This attractive book combines the history of rice with some fabulous recipes. Full of color pictures that dot each page, you will find recipes from all parts of the 'rice' world, China, Japan, India, Korea, Thailand and so on. The recipes aren't too difficult and many are substantial enough to act as a meal on their own. If you love to cook and eat rice, make this your bible.

Rice Bowl Women
Published in Paperback by New American Library (January, 1984)
Average review score:

Wonderful tales of the power of women.
Rice Bowl Women is a fabulous collection of stories, old and new, that speak of the warrior spirit in every woman. From ancient tales of China, where women train in the skills of sword and sorcery, to more modern tales of women achieving power and realizing their inherent strength during the cultural reforms of communism. This book explores the tradition of the swordswoman in the far East, cultures more widely known for their subservient feminine roles.

The Rice Miracle: Remarkable Stories of God's Power and Provision
Published in Paperback by Koinonia (December, 1997)
Author: Gosta Oman
Average review score:

I could not put down this book after I started reading it
This book has transformed the way I think of God, the Bible and Jesus Christ.

In the book 'The Rice Miracle', Gosta Oman tells story after story of how God has worked through him as he trusted God. Each story actually happened in Gosta's life and each of them is a display of God's power and love in the life of man.

If you know the Bible, there are a few men that really stand out as men how performed miracles and had a heart after God. Moses, Elijha, Jesus Christ and the Apostles. Gosta's experiences demonstate the same works of God in recent years, not thousands of years ago.

The book was originally written in Swedish and was translated into English, but the translation was done so well, that I would have not known except that the book mentions it in the inside cover.

If you love to hear stories of God working in the lives of people, or if you need encouragement to know that God still works today, or if you are not sure if you beleive in God, this book is for you.

Rice Science and Technology
Published in Hardcover by Marcel Dekker (08 September, 1993)
Authors: Wayne E. Marshall and James I. Wadsworth
Average review score:

The Rice-Cake Rabbit

Author: Betty Jean Lifton
Average review score:

A Childhood Memory.
When my mother use to read this to me it taught me alot about not giving up and to always try my best and work for what I wanted in life and to follow my dreams with intensity and I also liked the way the story has been passed through the traditon of Japan and carried it values onto the modern life it was a kind and passionate story which I still to this day would read. At a young age the book had been lost and well purchasing this book again has returned a part of my life and my heartfelt memories of my time with my mom. Thank You

Authors: Wei-Chuan Publishing and Lee-Hwa Lin
Average review score:

Great cookbook
I like this cookbook because it is very handy. This cookbook contains a lot of recipes. Although I haven't tried all of them, it gives me a lot of idea of what I can cook each time. The fried rice recipes in it are my favorite!! It would be great if the publisher can put some color pictures on the website.

Right Murder (Library Crime Classics)
Published in Paperback by International Polygonics, Ltd. (July, 1991)
Author: Craig Rice
Average review score:

The most interesting and entertaining book I ever read
This was the most interesting and entertaining book I ever read. Only on a couple of occasions have I read a book; non-stop and all the way through from the first page to the last. This book is very well written, has a twisted plot and the characters are very real. It is also quite hilarious. Two thunbs up: the feel good hit of the 30's

Risotto (Williams-Sonoma Kitchen Library , Vol 42)

Beautifully Illustrated, Delicious, Easy Recipes
Risotto is a wonderful, filling, nutritious meal and can be simple or sophisticated, served at family meals or dinner parties. (It also makes great left-overs!) Whether you're browsing or planning a menu, this book will fulfill your appetite. Each recipe is beautifully illustrated and presented on a separate page with easy-to-follow instructions. Several of the recipes I've tried have become family favorites. Just serve with a fresh baguette, and some can be considered one-dish meals.

Easy cooking, delicious meals!
This is a great book for someone wanting to try Italian cooking. I had never cooked risotto before, and now it's a regular part of meals at our house. The recipes are very easy to make, provided that you use ready-made vegetable stock. However, the recipe for home-made is also given. Photos are ilustrative and the food is delicious. Great book!
